FAQ MBBS abroad | Omkar answers to all frequently asked questions
All admissions in China for foreign students are direct. So far NO Entrance test is taken by any University in China. However all Universities have a minimum percentage requirement like 50%, 60% or 70% in PCB and in English. All admissions are done on the basis of which student has applied 1st, provided minimum percentage is there. So earlier you apply, better is your chance of admission.
Some Universities will take interview over phone or Skype to judge the English speaking power of the student, before granting admission.
Some Universities will check NEET marks too.
01. Is this Admission direct or I will have to give any Entrance test?
Yes from 1st June 2018 onwards, qualifying in NEET exam in the same year of MBBS admission is required to become eligible to work as a doctor in India. Please remember you have to qualify NEET in the same year. If you qualify NEET in 2017 or 2018 and take admission in 2019 without qualifying in 2019, then you are not eligible.
So students taking admission in countries like Philippines, Central America, South America etc, where initially admission is given only in Pre-Medical or BS (Bachelor of Science) and then in Medical (M.D. Or MBBS) after 18 months or 24 months, you have to qualify NEET in India again after 2 years. Qualifying NEET in 2019 and joining in Pre-medical will not help you. You have to qualify NEET again in 2021. Plz check details about MCI eligibility of Philippines students here.
In 2018 NEET qualifying marks were 96 for SC/ST/OBC and 119 for general or open case category out of total 720 marks.
02. Is NEET required to go abroad?
Yes, No problem in that. You can take admission in China without NEET in few colleges. You will become Doctor and can work in any country of your choice, except India.
03. If I do not qualify NEET but still want to take admission in China, will it be possible?
The best time to apply is January to March end of the year of admission. All seats will be booked by that time. So apply before this time to get confirmed admission in China.
04. Which is the best time to Apply for China MBBS ?
Yes you can always book your seat on the basis of 10 mark sheet and paying the Booking amount. Students who book their seat through us will get 100% admission.
05. I will be appearing for my final 10+2 exam this year. Can I apply before getting the mark sheet ?
Yes you can apply without passport. But you must apply it as soon as possible. We will require your passport before June end to make necessary papers. Some Universities will not accept application without passport.
06. I do not have passport. Can I apply now?
Yes you can get confirmed admission in your choice of University in that case, but you must apply immediately before all seats in that University are filled up.
07. I am already 10+2 passed out and I have 70% in PCB and in English. Can I get confirmed admission in my choice of University ?
Sorry, then come back next year. This year there is no chance for you in China. After NEET results are declared, you will hardly get any seat vacant in China.
08. I will be appearing in NEET exam in India. Can I wait for the final results to come out in June and then apply ?
NO. Application or Booking money can’t be refunded for this reason. University fees paid by that time will not be refunded too. That is why in general, University fees are taken after June. By that time all results will be declared.
09. I will book my seat now paying the Booking amount. But if I get a seat in India, will the application money be refunded ?
Application or Booking money can’t be refunded if you fail in 10+2 exam. However if your percentage is low, and your choice of university deny admission, then we will try our level best to get your admission done in any other MCI approved colleges in China. So far all students who has booked through us has got admission. If, by chance , that is not done, then either you can take back your application amount or we will arrange your admission in other countries for sure without wasting a year. But if you fail in 10+2 then we are helpless.
10. What if I fail in 10+2 exam or can’t secure minimum percentage required by the University? Will my money refunded ?
Application or Booking money paid to Omkar Medicom will be 100% refunded if you cant qualify in NEET this year and hence you want to discontinue with your admission ( except for 3-4 universities). However, if any money is transferred direct to University Bank account, that can not be refunded.
11. What if I can't get qualifying marks in NEET this year and hence not eligible for India later on. Will I get refund of my Application / Seat Booking amount ?
Surely you can wait till August middle. But for most of the Universities you must pay their Tuition fees as required after getting the Admission Letter. Otherwise your admission will be automatically cancelled and money, paid till that date, will not be refunded. University will take new student from their waiting list in that case.
For some Universities date of entry is 1st week of September. In case of those Universities you have to do the other process of payment in India and China both and submission of documents side by side. Else we will not be able to process your paper and eventually you wont be able to reach the University before last date.
12. I will book now and I know I will get a good percentage. Now I want to wait till the final counseling in my state medical council which will be around middle of August. Can I wait?
NO chance of that. In those universities where interview is not taken, we will guarantee 100% admission. This is because we take Applications as per our limitations of seat only. We do not take any single extra application like other consultancies.
In those Universities where interview is taken, your admission somehow depends on the quality of your interview.
13. Ok I will book now and I will get more than 80% in PCB and 80% in English. Even after that if I don’t get admission, what will happen then?

Now we are doing admissions for only those Universities which are well established for many years plus holding very high ranks in the world. Those Universities will not go out of the list. Worst if it happens, then we will try our level best to accommodate you in another MCI APPROVED COLLEGE / UNIVERSITY. If that can’t be done, then we will refund your full money or give you options to take admission in other countries like Russia, Ukraine, Philippines etc. We are the only consultancy who does admission for almost all countries where Indian students usually go.
